2024/2025 Science and Art Fair

Deadline for registration – Thursday January 30th
We are excited for the Grant Ragan Elementary Science & Art Fair! Participation in the Science & Art Fair is optional. Students who choose to participate may create a science project, an art project, or both. Students may create projects alone, or may work with another Grant Ragan student as partners. Awards will be presented to every student who completes and presents a project at the Science & Art Fair.
All projects must be done at home. There will be no class time devoted to working on these projects.
Science projects and sculptures will be displayed on tables; 2D art and photography will be hung on the gym walls. Parents/guardians should plan to help their students set up projects before the fair and clean up projects after the fair. Students must be registered no later than Thursday January 25th to participate. The instructions for signing up are at the end of this flyer.

Students may write directly on the board or attach paper, photos, project materials, etc. The display board must be labeled with the student’s name and grade level. The display board should also show the title of the project and illustrate what the student learned or discovered.
Science Project Ideas
Students can look for inspiration at the Grant Ragan Library, local public libraries, or the internet.
Please keep safety in mind when designing your projects. The project display must not create a hazard for students, parents, teachers, and others viewing the projects. You should select a project that can be displayed without electricity, refrigeration, etc. as it may not be available at your assigned table.

Students may choose the art form for their projects: 2D art (paint, markers, crayons, etc.), photography, or sculpture.
