Grant Ragan PTO Meeting - October 6, 2020
Welcome
Principal’s Report – Matt Robie
-Settled into a sense of normalcy - 0 discipline around mask wearing.
- 95% wearing their masks correctly.
- Will hopefully only have to quarantine due to the lunch room
- 0 positive cases at Grant Ragan - a few quarantined due to parents infected
- More communication to come from the district on what snow days will look like.
- Will potentially be called the day before so students can bring the tablet
home to have online instruction the next day
- November will be when parents need to decide for the second semester to keep
their current learning format or switch learning formats.
- Kids potentially may not have the same teacher if students shift their learning
options.
- No costume day for kids for Halloween.
3. Principal’s Report – Matt Robie
Treasurer’s Report -
- Some checks coming in from restaurant nights (for amounts, see below) and
school supplies ($1244.71)
Yearbook -
- Past yearbooks on sale for $20 in the office.
- Is there a way to mail to the “old 5th graders?”
- School photos are in, and will have to pull in the online students into our
yearbook.
- Shutterfly site to upload photos.
Apparel Sales -
- Sales ended Oct 1st. Almost doubled sales from last year - $706 earned.
- Should be delivered at the end of the month.
Classroom Coordinator -
- 3 coordinators needed - Howe, McGee, Faga. Cassie will send out a directory for
them.
- Directories should have been sent out.
Restaurant Nights -
- $75 from Kona, $100 from Marcos and $250 from Totally Rolled.
- Looking to fill the spring months with places.
Conference Meals -
- Will be virtual so we will have to go options and depends on if teachers will do
them from the school or not.
Staff Appreciation -
- Ms. Ross won for September.
- A few more nominations for October.
- Fall staff appreciation - sign up genius will be going out soon. Plan to distribute
October 30th
Fundraiser -
- Snow Gear Bags - Mesh to put gear in so water drains out. Info coming soon.
4. New Business
- Which Wich Night – Nov 10th 4-8pm
- Chipotle @ Jordan Creek – Jan 19th 5-9pm
